Schedule and Other Important Information

You have clearly seen the benefits of using the McKenzie system in the spine, you’ve got excited when you discovered Directional Preference and seen rapid responses even with patients with longstanding symptoms, and you’ve found satisfaction when you successfully classified patients not fitting with Derangement Syndrome.

Now is your chance to replicate your success with the extremities:

Firstly, become a skilled clinician at spinal / extremity differentiation, uncovering the remarkably quick changes to stubborn extremity symptoms of a spinal source.

Secondly, are you classifying approximately 40% of your patients with extremity symptoms as Derangements? If not, become more confident at fully utilizing repeated movements and ensuring that you do not miss any potential for Directional Preference

Thirdly, become more familiar and comfortable with the comprehensiveness of the McKenzie System you can fit the rest of your patients with extremity symptoms into one of MDT classifications and have a clear pathway for management.

Eligibility: Completion of Part D. In addition, Canadian clinicians that have previously taken the Advanced Extremities course that wish to retake (audit) this course, can also register for this course regardless of where they practice in Canada. The course includes 2 online training sessions. Practice patient models are not required for this course. A digital/fillable pdf version of the Part AE manual will be provided for this course. Course sessions are not recorded.

The Advanced Extremity course consists of lecture, analysis of case studies, clinical reasoning, problem solving and heavy emphasis on assessment and treatment of patients, a trademark of McKenzie courses. Legitimate patients will be assessed and treated by the instructor during this course.
