Schedule and Other Important Information (if applicable)

This course runs on the 01, 02, 03NOV (clinic), 07NOV (online evening - see schedule below). This course is open to MDT trained clinicians that have completed Parts A through C. This 28 hour course will review and advance the theory and practical application of MDT in relation to the Cervical & Thoracic spine, and introduce the concept of MDT in the management of upper limb musculoskeletal disorders.

The course will firstly help participants expand their ability to assess, classify and manage patients with cervical and thoracic problems, related referred pain and functional limitations.

Secondly, the theory and practical application of MDT for upper limb musculoskeletal disorders is presented. Lectures, patient assessments and practical sessions are utilised to demonstrate the characteristics and management of the MDT syndromes and OTHER subgroups, as they present in the upper limb.

Problem solving, reflective learning, clinical reasoning, practical activities and patient demonstrations are utilised to ensure participants gain a broader knowledge of MDT within the biopsychosocial framework.

Patient demonstrations are used to illustrate the reassessment process and allow participants to get a realistic impression of the impact of the MDT system on different patient presentations over 2-3 treatment sessions. This course does not have a pre-requisite online component.

In preparation for challenging the Credentialling Exam, please review your Parts A, B and C course manuals prior to the Part D to determine if there is content you need clarified. Total contact hours = 28.
